Caleb Moment- Give Me This Mountain

from $75.00

The original 48×72” Caleb Moment oil and gold leaf painting was the prophetically visualized centerpiece of Walnut Hill Communities Church’s sermon series on the same theme in 2013. Caleb was one of only two spies along with Joshua of the twelve who returned from surveying the promised land and had the faith to obey the Lord and take possession of the land despite the presence of giants (Goliath’s ancestors). While an entire generation of Israelites died in their lack of faith over the next 40 years wandering in the wilderness, Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan to the walls of Jericho following Moses’ death, and the lesser known Caleb was just beside him. As the land was apportioned for the 12 tribes, Caleb famously said that at 80 years old, he was as strong as the day he’d first crossed 40 years earlier, and he asked for the most difficult allotment of mountainous land with enemies securely positioned at height, “Give me this mountain!” With the Lord’s courage and power coursing through him, Caleb and his tribe alone completely drove out the enemy and fully possessed his promised land.
